The municipalities affected by the route of the TGV in Navarra have been requested to provide information they have. Sustrai Erakuntza, nonprofit foundation that works for social balance, land and environment has taken a further step on the way for another social model.
During the month of January, the Foundation has requested Sustrai Navarra municipalities fifty entire contents of existing environmental information in each of these local entities referring to the planned construction of high speed train (TAV) passing through Navarre.
This requirement is based on the general law applicable to the collection of environmental information. These regulations govern the right of everyone citizenship europe @ @ access to environmental information held by public authorities, the right to participate in procedures for decision making, and the right to seek a judicial review of administrative and acts attributable to public authorities involving violations of environmental legislation. It is the State Law 27/2006, the European Directives 2003/4/EC and 2003/35/EC and the International Convention of Aarhus (1998).
Algunos de los ayuntamientos afectados por el proyecto del Tren de Alta Velocidad, a los cuales se les ha solicitado dicha información son: Cortes, Buñuel, Ribaforada, Tudela, Castejón, Valtierra, Caparroso, Olite, Tafalla, Pueyo, Garinoain, Barasoain, Biurrun, Beriáin, Noain, Cendea de Zizur, Pamplona/Iruña, Cendea de Olza, Valle de Arakil, Irañeta, Uharte-Arakil, Lakuntza, Arbizu, Etxarri-Aranatz, Bakaiku, Altsasu, Betelu y Araitz.
Mediante este requerimiento, la Fundación Sustrai Erakuntza va a comprobar por un lado la actitud de los Ayuntamientos en cuanto al derecho de acceso a la información que tienen tod@s l@s @ s citizenship on the other side is going to be able to analyze how much information you actually have different councils in relation to project high-speed train.
